EXPERIMENT 01 / ORIGINAL TWO-PLAYER PROTOTYPE
THE THREE-SPACE
WORKSHOP.
Share one device. Each player places one worker per round. A chosen space is unavailable to the other player until the next round.
Round 1 of 4
Player A to place0 resources
Choose an available space for Player A. Resources and points begin at zero.
Placement record
Watch what
the choice removes.
Gather now, trade later?
Resources can support a larger Market gain, but another player may occupy that space before you reach it. A plan needs an available action as well as the pieces to pay with.
Who begins the round?
Alternating the first player changes who sees all three spaces. The second player still has two options, but the missing one can reshape the decision.
What did this model leave out?
Many published worker-placement games have more workers, costs, replenishment rules and longer-term goals. This prototype isolates a few ideas so their consequences remain easy to inspect.
